Definitely a powerful f-all set.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn4.jpg\"><br \/>\nFans.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn5.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe crowd.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn6.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Anuar<\/b>, rippin&#8217; it out on lap steel guitar. We don&#8217;t ever get to see this around Malaysia much!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn7.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis was Az Samad&#8217;s nephew <b>Afiq<\/b> (thanks Uncle Az for the info!) He ripped out some groovy, killer thrash metal riffs. I had not heard anything so fresh in quite a while.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn8.jpg\"><br \/>\nThen of course, it was <b>Az Samad<\/b>&#8216;s turn to impress by turning every crevice of his guitar into a sound-making instrument, banging on the wood and tapping the surfaces.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn9.jpg\"><br \/>\nThere was no space to slap guitar body on the Soloette.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn10.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Davina<\/b> came on to sing a song, or two.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn11.jpg\"><br \/>\nShe did a cover of <i>Bachelor Girl &#8211; Buses And Trains<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn12.jpg\"><br \/>\nAnd then there was a far more emotional song, <i>Carole King &#8211; It&#8217;s Too Late<\/i>. (Thanks Davina for the info!)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn13.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8220;<i>Uh, did I just croak like a Kermit?<\/i>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn14.jpg\"><br \/>\nShe rebounds from slips quickly and cutely with a smile!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SCXe1EnxzM0\" target=\"_BLANK\">A video by William here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn15.jpg\"><br \/>\nThen Melina (and Stephanie not seen in this picture) are in yet another band&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn16.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Hamster DamnAged<\/b>! A Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover band.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn17.jpg\"><br \/>\nFeaturing a sexy, dancy vocalist with all the shouts of shrieks of Karen O!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UhR76NGI8dE\" target=\"_BLANK\">a video of them performing<\/a> on Youtube.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn18.jpg\"><br \/>\nA softer change of pace with <b>Rusdi<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn19.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Brainhead<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn20.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe stuffed toy bows.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn21.jpg\"><br \/>\nThen came one of the most uh, memorable bands of the night &#8211; <b>Jenny Rocket<\/b>! In the sense that they forgot to tune up before going on stage (<b>major boo-boo<\/b>) and that the vocalist was kicking and punching his band members on stage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn22.jpg\"><br \/>\nI think he was trying to get them into the mood to dance about in an indie band manner instead of mostly standing.<\/p>\n<p>The way they sounded, I felt like I was temporarily teleported into a jamming studio!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn23.jpg\"><br \/>\nFortunately <b>Auburn<\/b> saved our ears with some new songs in the language of Malay. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn24.jpg\"><br \/>\nStill as progressive and rocking as ever!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn25.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Maya Lara<\/b> was next &#8211; this was Jenny Rocket without the vocalist.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn26.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Firasah<\/b> ended the night with a killer cover of <i>Deep Purple &#8211; Burn<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn27.jpg\"><br \/>\nThey were only allocated time for one song as the gig was over, so the vocals were cut off from the sound system for the next song, <i>Iron Maiden &#8211; Trooper<\/i>. That did not stop the crowd from singing the entire song (and the catchy call-and-response riff!)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/fbjn28.jpg\"><br \/>\nYep, some members of heavy metal revival guys <b>Revenge<\/b> were in the crowd.
