\n29th October 2009: The Ramanados<\/b> live at UrbanAttic, Capsquare KL!<\/p>\n


\nBut first, DJ Dizzle Fizzo<\/b>!<\/p>\n


\nIt was Stevie’s birthday and guess what he got, a most sweet Fender Stratocaster!<\/p>\n


\nHe immediately got to rocking with it.<\/p>\n


\nThe night was filled with a lot of funky covers; Jamiroquai – Love Foolosophy<\/b>, Red Hot Chili Peppers – Havana Affair<\/b>, Incubus – Pardon Me<\/b> and the ever bouncy Red Hot Chili Peppers – Purple Stain<\/b>!<\/p>\n

Of course, they have originals like Gypsy Girl<\/b>. But I am glad for the night celebrated the Red Hot Chili Peppers and other like-minded sounds because very few bands actually do so!<\/p>\n


\nThe second set had not-too-early Incubus, with Stellar<\/b>, Wish You Were Here<\/b> and The Warmth<\/b>.<\/p>\n


\nWhen Jared the drummer kinda looks like Chad Smith you know they gotta do more Red Hot Chili Peppers covers like Suck My Kiss<\/b> and Around The World<\/b>…<\/p>\n


\n…this picture reminds me of John Frusciante<\/b> sitting down at Slane Castle playing Under The Bridge<\/b>. Which is what Stevie was doing, too!<\/p>\n

\nAgain, at 12mm on the full-frame Sony A900…<\/p>\n


\n“Deep inside of a parallel universe… it’s getting harder to tell what came first, and!<\/i>”<\/p>\n


\nYou’d be surprised to see how many people were singing along to Californication<\/b>-era Red Hot Chili Peppers!<\/p>\n


\nThis reminds me of a picture of Bob Marley<\/b> – they did his Redemption Song<\/b>.<\/p>\n


\nSome Indian ditty and Mahesh<\/b> chimes in!<\/p>\n

\n…while Jared (in the back sings.)<\/p>\n


\nThe other covers were Sting – Walking On The Moon<\/b>, Incubus – Are You In<\/b>, and their perennial remixes of Oasis<\/b>‘ She’s Electric<\/b> and Wonderwall<\/b>.<\/p>\n
