On stage, from left to right: Jasemaine Gan and Erin Marie of Very Imaginative People Enterprise, and Michael Chen of We Are Malaysian Made.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl2.jpg\"><br \/>\nOpening the show was <b>So I&#8217;m Jenn<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl3.jpg\"><br \/>\nJenn on the left with the ukulele, and Sani on the right with the guitar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl4.jpg\"><br \/>\nIt was then time for <b>Nick Davis<\/b>, and he performed the spacey <i>Lost In Time<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl5.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis rock star has come a long way, with many bands with different sounds.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl6.jpg\"><br \/>\nEntering the frame was Maybelline Wong.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl7.jpg\"><br \/>\nShe performed an interpretative dance based on the music.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl8.jpg\"><br \/>\nI have to say, it was pretty intense! Such that if I grazed into her by accident, I would suddenly find myself possessed, moving my body in angles.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl9.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe reason why all these pictures are so wide, is because I&#8217;d brought only my Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG that day. Little did I know that the legendary <a href=\"http:\/\/robinwong.blogspot.com\/2013\/01\/nick-davis-live-at-bee-publika.html\" target=\"_BLANK\">Robin Wong<\/a> was also shooting there that night!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Nick Davis - Lost In Time (Official Music Video)\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TNq6LgWOxx0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nThe music video for Lost In Time also features Maybelline Wong.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl10.jpg\"><br \/>\n31st January 2013: <b>Gabriel Lynch<\/b> at The Bee. Opening act for that night was <b>Froya<\/b>, a delectable band consisting of catchy pop melodies.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl11.jpg\"><br \/>\nThere is something about his voice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl12.jpg\"><br \/>\nIt just brings you in.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl13.jpg\"><br \/>\n23rd April 2013: After catching <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=2489\">Panggung Muzik<\/a>, I hitched a ride with Ann Na to The Bee, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/503040163087110\/\" target=\"_BLANK\">Feedback Open Mic @ The Bee Publika April Edition<\/a> was going on. Here&#8217;s the awesome toffee-smelling Eff Hakim!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl14.jpg\"><br \/>\nEff is ever suspicious of the audience, ever ready to spout her random observations of people, to great amusement. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl15.jpg\"><br \/>\nFaliq on vocoder and guitar. The hair serves a purpose, to spot him above the wall of noise that he makes with electronics on stage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl16.jpg\"><br \/>\nTogether, they form <b>Pastel Lite<\/b>, and they end the set with a crescendo of bleeps that I consider music to my ears.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl17.jpg\"><br \/>\nReza, emcee and organizer, overwhelmed by their sound. He was looking shockingly jocky that night.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl18.jpg\"><br \/>\nAriff AB.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl19.jpg\"><br \/>\n29th April 2013: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/114135748786200\/\" target=\"_BLANK\">Bassment Syndicate&#8217;s Album Release Party!<\/a> Here&#8217;s Marques &#8220;Q&#8217;Sound&#8221; Young, putting vocals over a deep groove.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl20.jpg\"><br \/>\nOmar on drums.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl21.jpg\"><br \/>\nFook sometimes plays bass, sometimes guitar. Interestingly this band doesn&#8217;t perform with both at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl22.jpg\"><br \/>\nVig, probably complimenting a cool T-shirt.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl23.jpg\"><br \/>\nQ&#8217;Sound on trombone.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl24.jpg\"><br \/>\nHiran on keyboards.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ndgl25.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe awesome jazz\/soul cat Najwa Mahiaddin was invited on stage to sing a duet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are 4 different gigs with one thing in common &#8211; they were all held at The Bee, Publika, and at all these gigs I only caught two performers or less.
