No problem!<\/p>\n<p><b>You<\/b>: <i>What&#8217;s up duuude?<\/i><br \/>\n<b>(Name has been withheld from lousy memory)<\/b>: <i>Heyyy!<\/i><br \/>\n<b>You<\/b>: <i>How&#8217;ve you been?<\/i><\/p>\n<p>You then go into conversation, <b>as if you greeted the person by name<\/b>. Well even if you don&#8217;t remember their name, you remember where you&#8217;ve met them and what you&#8217;ve done together, right?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever you do, do not start with:<\/p>\n<p><b>You<\/b>: <i>Heyyyyy I know you!<\/i> (This line just reeks of &#8220;<i>I forgot your name!<\/i>&#8220;-ness.)<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s even easier when you&#8217;re with a friend. <b>Do not introduce them to each other &#8211; let them introduce themselves<\/b>. Then, as you go on separate paths, you say, &#8220;<i>See ya (name withheld)!<\/i>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b><font size=\"3\">Case 2<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>A person is looking at you with that expression that says that you&#8217;re familiar, but you don&#8217;t recognize him\/her.<\/p>\n<p><b>You<\/b>: <i>Heyyy! Do I know you from somewhere?<\/i> (Yes, get his\/her hopes up and act.)<br \/>\n<b>(Person who thinks you&#8217;re familiar)<\/b>: <i>Er yeah! I know you from&#8230;<\/i><br \/>\n<b>You<\/b>: <i>Oh sorry, I don&#8217;t go to\/I don&#8217;t hang out at\/I&#8217;m not into&#8230;<\/i> (That&#8217;s your exit line.)<br \/>\n<b>(Person embarrassed)<\/b>: <i>Oops sorry, wrong person then.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>By then he\/she would have walked away, embarrassed.<\/p>\n<p><b><font size=\"3\">Case 3<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>You recognize the person, but you&#8217;re not sure that it&#8217;s him\/her.<\/p>\n<p><b>You<\/b>: <i>Heyyy! Do I know you from somewhere?<\/i> (Pretend that you&#8217;re <b>sure<\/b> it&#8217;s him\/her.)<\/p>\n<p>There are two cases:<\/p>\n<p><b>(Familiar person)<\/b>: <i>Yeah! I know you from&#8230;<\/i> (You should rejoice and know what to do then.)<\/p>\n<p>The second case:<\/p>\n<p><b>(Familiar person)<\/b>: <i>Er&#8230; no?<\/i><br \/>\n<b>You<\/b>: <i>Oops sorry, wrong person then.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Do not run off embarrassed.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever it is, <b>do not greet the familiar person by name<\/b>.
