{"id":400,"date":"2005-05-29T01:18:43","date_gmt":"2005-05-29T01:18:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=400"},"modified":"2016-09-19T17:31:13","modified_gmt":"2016-09-19T17:31:13","slug":"like-real-train-seat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=400","title":{"rendered":"Like Real Train Seat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was getting on the STAR LRT at Masjid Jamek when I heard a voice:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<i>Excuse me, er&#8230; ini tren ke Ampang ke?<\/i>&#8221; (Translation: Is this train going to Ampang?)<\/p>\n<p>I turned to the electronic signboard, saw that it was indeed going Ampang, so I turned around and said yes.<\/p>\n<p>It was a Chinese chick!<\/p>\n<p>Even weirder was that she then went to sit on the benches of the station instead of getting on the train.<\/p>\n<p>Now I was not insulted despite my fairness that she thought I was Malay, or that I looked like a Chinese who could not speak Chinese. I&#8217;d prefer that Chinese people assume I can&#8217;t.
