Or maybe they <b>were<\/b> Search. I don&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n<p>October 14th, I headed to Jamasia to rock out with <a href=\"http:\/\/cyber-red.blogspot.com\/2005_10_01_cyber-red_archive.html\" target=\"_BLANK\">Reta<\/a>. (No, no pills are required to headbang, just a good appreciation for rock.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha3.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Qings &amp; Kueens<\/b> with some good old rock and roll. (I cheated and used black and white because I couldn&#8217;t fix the color.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha4.jpg\"><br \/>\nEdge Of Fire having a reunion with the original singer and writer of their hit power ballad, <i>Whole Again<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha5.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Be Jaya<\/b> has the Joe Satriani of Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha6.jpg\"><br \/>\nLeft: His son says hi to his bassist&#8217;s leg; right: every shredder has to do some left-handed tapping.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha7.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Naked Breed<\/b>, the only band I knew was playing before coming. Haha.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha8.jpg\"><br \/>\nJack seems stunned by the sudden white lighting. Jamasia lights often alternate too fast, frustrating flash-less photographers.<\/p>\n<p>Forward to October 26th, HELP prom band auditions. How cool is that? Instead of paying bands to come play for the prom, they come and compete for free entry to the prom.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha9.jpg\"><br \/>\nSo you wanna be a hot dancer? (They alternated between bands and dance performances earlier.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha10.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Insulyna<\/b>, grunge band.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha11.jpg\"><br \/>\nDo not be fooled by menacing-looking BC Rich guitars. Have the laugh of your life when the vocalist comes on stage and sings off-key, Ah Beng style.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha12.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis band was better. I chose this picture for stim-girl, who I dragged, promising hot bass players she could fancy. We also camwhored during boring bands, but the pictures won&#8217;t be uploaded as I can&#8217;t link to her. \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha13.jpg\"><br \/>\nA band from Indonesia proceeds to steal our thunder.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha14.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe ultimate recycled band.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha15.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Function-Z<\/b>, a church band that keeps getting better.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha16.jpg\"><br \/>\nSome dude who did a medley of James Blunt, John Mayer and heavier things.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha17.jpg\"><br \/>\nIt seemed like these people just got on stage unannounced. Ah well, such organization is expected in HELP events. At least the chick was cute.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/batcha18.jpg\"><br \/>\nFinally, the reason I was here &#8211; to finally see <a href=\"http:\/\/chapree.tripod.com\/blergh\" target=\"_BLANK\">Syefri<\/a> play bass (and <a href=\"http:\/\/xen0s.blogsome.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Seng Yip<\/a> play drums) for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/dreamingtosleep\" target=\"_BLANK\">Dreaming To Sleep<\/a>, an emo band. Well the emoness is most identifiable in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/geowongyt\/\" target=\"_BLANK\">George<\/a>&#8216;s voice, which is spot on emo like he was imported from the States and dyed his hair black.<\/p>\n<p>There you go, all you demanding people, the gig pictures for October 2005.
