I think it was a wee bit older than that, though, because I first saw <b>Frequency Cannon<\/b> there, and I&#8217;d seen Frequency Cannon as early as 2004.<\/p>\n<p>And in case you&#8217;re wondering why only Jamasia gets wished happy birthday, it is because there was free flow of alcohol for 1.5 hours!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab1.jpg\"><br \/>\nI used slow shutter with flash\/night scene for these pictures; we had free flow, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xanga.com\/aldatan\" target=\"_BLANK\">Alda<\/a>, playing for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cosmicfunkexpress.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Cosmic Funk Express<\/a>, opened the show, so he could not enjoy such generosity. But here, I sorta feed him Carlsberg.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab2.jpg\"><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zackkim.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Zack Kim<\/a> deftly avoids the lights&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab3.jpg\"><br \/>\nBut ends up inebriated anyway. Somehow I feel these picture effects work best to describe the music Cosmic Funk Express plays.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab4.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Stonebay<\/b>. Don&#8217;t be jealous and turn green Mr. Bassist, I finally take a picture of someone other than the singer with his eye-catching guitar and rainbow-colored beanie.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab5.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Throne Away<\/b>, with <b>One Buck Short<\/b>&#8216;s drummer. Apparently, only Rudy the drummer can sing the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious part in <i>Midnight In Madrid<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab6.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Beat The System<\/b>, playing nu-metal and some old-school. Perhaps I should&#8217;ve spun the camera upwards to make fiery streaks instead.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab7.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Natalie<\/b> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragonred.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Dragon Red<\/a>. They did a few covers, like sneaking in a verse of <i>Estranged &#8211; Chocolate Syrup<\/i>, and <b>Amil<\/b> playing the intro riff to <i>Deja Voodoo Spells &#8211; I Am What I Am<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab8.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Adam<\/b> and his little pocketable partner in crime, <b>Mozzie<\/b>. They do <i>A Perfect Circle &#8211; Judith<\/i> well.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab9.jpg\"><br \/>\nHe also has aspirations to be the gloved one.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab10.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Slyde<\/b>, for a <i>rabid<\/i> fan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab11.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Edge Of Fire<\/b> was again short of members, so their falsetto-loving vocalist played guitar too. It was a treat to see him sing <i>Guns &amp; Roses &#8211; Welcome To The Jungle<\/i>, at a key too high that we could see his eyes popping out.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab12.jpg\"><br \/>\nShirtless as usual, <b>Ainol<\/b> entertains with a drum solo. <b>Deja Voodoo Spells<\/b> pulled a clever one on the crowd &#8211; Rithan started with a Hendrix-ish intro, but played <b>Nirvana<\/b>&#8216;s <i>Breed<\/i> and <i>Lithium<\/i> (and <i>Green Day &#8211; Basket Case<\/i>) note-by-note. This might be to celebrate his nomination for best vocal performance in the AIM, perhaps?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab13.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe crowd asked for <b>Jimi Hendrix<\/b>, and he obliged with <i>Fire<\/i>. When asked for more, he brought out a guest guitarist and drummer, who ripped out <b>Stevie Ray Vaughn<\/b>&#8216;s version of <i>Little Wing<\/i>!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab14.jpg\"><br \/>\nAdam joins to sing <i>Strangely<\/i>. Also, <b>Mie<\/b> becomes the official bassist of the band.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/jab15.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Vespertine<\/b> found it very tough to follow Deja Voodoo Spells.
