Folk rocker.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb2.jpg\"><br \/>\nWho has rather <i>otai<\/i>-looking members&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb3.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8230;like the great bluesman Julian Mokhtar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb7.jpg\"><br \/>\nFunk\/jazz rockers <b>Seven<\/b> will always be recognizeable by afroed Bobo&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb8.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8230;who is also a member of <b>Cosmic Space Munkys<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb9.jpg\"><br \/>\nAnd not forgetting the saxophone.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb10.jpg\"><br \/>\nRandom shots; top-left and top-right: Rachel; bottom-left: Athira who looks cool; bottom-right: <a href=\"http:\/\/laundrybar.blogspot.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">the Laundry Bar blogger<\/a> (what, you thought she really wanted to take your picture because you were sitting around looking cute?) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.20six.co.uk\/faith_in_ink\" target=\"_BLANK\">Eddy<\/a> the hard rocker.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb11.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe next day I headed to Jamasia for its relaunching.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb12.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe Epiphone SG guitar that once hung from the ceiling now had a grander spot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb13.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe bar relocated to the back. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xanga.com\/debbiechan\" target=\"_BLANK\">Debbie<\/a> makes <b>AWESOME<\/b> cocktails, with interesting names like Naughty Chocs, Twist And Dip, Electric Berries and Do The Haka. There&#8217;s also something that blows the McDonalds McFlurry &#8211; the Snickers Pimp. Like melted Snickers!<\/p>\n<p>If you tire of mamak drinks in Desa Sri Hartamas, come over to Jamasia for funky fruity\/sweet alcoholic delights.<\/p>\n<p><b>Where is Jamasia anyway?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Behind the Maybank in Desa Sri Hartamas.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb14.jpg\"><br \/>\nGuitar!<\/p>\n<p>Jamasia is now open 6 days a week, closing only on Monday. Tuesdays are jam nights, where anybody can bring an instrument and play. There&#8217;s a gig every other night, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xanga.com\/i_want_a_djembe\" target=\"_BLANK\">Reza Salleh<\/a>&#8216;s new Feedback series.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb15.jpg\"><br \/>\nSpeaking of which, his band played for the relaunch.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb16.jpg\"><br \/>\nMelina!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb17.jpg\"><br \/>\nReza and gang. Finally got to flash Jamasia with my digital SLR!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb18.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>One Buck Short<\/b> also did a short punk rock set.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/knb19.jpg\"><br \/>\nSomething I rarely blog about in Jamasia gigs (but is tradition) is the drinking game, where the winner gets a jug of beer. Adam, the usually malevolent-looking screamer of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragonred.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Dragon Red<\/a>, looks so cute with emo glasses!<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and the best thing about Jamasia is that it is now non-smoking, like The New Paul&#8217;s Place.
