Here&#8217;s the persistent, consistent gig organizer, Reza Salleh, who has been doing this for 9 years now, from its humble beginnings as an acoustic show at No Black Tie, to many electric years in Laundry Bar (including an <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=682\">open mic session<\/a> after, in the early iterations), and a short stint at The Bee, Publika, and returning to Laundry Bar.<\/p>\n<p>Just for listmania, here are the first 10 Moonshine gigs ever:<\/p>\n<p>1) 26th November 2005, No Black Tie<br \/>\n2) 15th December 2005, No Black Tie<br \/>\n3) <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=561\">5th January 2006, No Black Tie<\/a><br \/>\n4) 2nd February 2006, No Black Tie (postponed due to complications with DBKL.)<br \/>\n5) 11th May 2006, Laundry Bar (same lineup as the postponed Moonshine #4, just relocated.)<br \/>\n6) <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=645\">1st June 2006, Laundry Bar<\/a><br \/>\n7) <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=682\">13th July 2006, Laundry Bar<\/a><br \/>\n8) <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=708\">10th August 2006, Laundry Bar<\/a><br \/>\n9) <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=732\">14th September 2006, Laundry Bar<\/a><br \/>\n10) <a href=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/?p=742\">12th October 2006, Laundry Bar<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei3.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe first leg of this Malaysia Day Special was outdoors, and <b>Hameer Zawawi<\/b> was on. Everyone was to do covers of Malaysian bands. Quite surprised he didn&#8217;t do <i>Tempered Mental &#8211; Automata<\/i>, in fact!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei2.jpg\"><br \/>\nZalila Lee on djembe.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei4.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Cassandra Mary<\/b>, one of the grungier!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei7.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Saturday Afternoon<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei6.jpg\"><br \/>\nSeriously digging Melissa&#8217;s tattoo!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei5.jpg\"><br \/>\nThey also did a cover of <i>Estranged &#8211; Itu Kamu<\/i>, as well as <i>Disagree &#8211; Crumbs<\/i>, cutting into <i>Malaysian Artistes For Unity &#8211; Here In My Home<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei8.jpg\"><br \/>\nI brought the Sony 16mm F2.8 E-mount pancake lens, modified for full-frame, for my Sony Alpha 7S, resulting in this funky image.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei9.jpg\"><br \/>\nNext up: The acoustic goodness of <b>Crinkle Cut<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei11.jpg\"><br \/>\nSuch heartbreaker eyes!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei13.jpg\"><br \/>\nAshley interestingly sports a cajon that is different than the run-of-the-mill standard-issue one. Ask her about it!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei14.jpg\"><br \/>\nIf you haven&#8217;t noticed, there&#8217;s a color theme going on&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei12.jpg\"><br \/>\nMalaysia Day, and they were dressed in colors of the Malayan (and then) Malaysian flag!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei10.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis may be a breathing exercise. Probably helps with singing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei15.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe second leg of the show was indoors, back in the usual stage&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei16.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8230;with the multi-part harmony of <b>The Vochale Project<\/b>!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei17.jpg\"><br \/>\nI then bumped into Land Slyde of Poetic Ammo, who had with him, Dave Childs, who was their lead guitarist!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei18.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe other Poetic Ammo member I bump into all the time, C. Loco, was also there!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei19.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Amir Jahari<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei22.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Kyoto Protocol<\/b>!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei20.jpg\"><br \/>\nThey did a cover of <i>Butterfingers &#8211; The Chemistry (Between Us)<\/i> and admitted to just reusing their Malaysian covers from Versus, a battle-of-the-bands contest. I was floored to hear anybody cover Darren Ashley&#8217;s older stuff, before he became the electronica cat he is today. Loco&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei34.jpg\"><br \/>\nTo bring so many Malaysian hip hop classics!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei36.jpg\"><br \/>\nThey burst out <i>Poetic Ammo &#8211; Who Be The Playa<\/i> and <i>Poetic Ammo &#8211; Everything Changes<\/i>. This was in fact, my first time seeing a Poetic Ammo song getting covered, and my first time seeing a Poetic Ammo member performing a Poetic Ammo song.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei35.jpg\"><br \/>\nThere was also Too Phat, Teh Tarik Crew and Urban XChange! Almost forgot about Urban XChange.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei37.jpg\"><br \/>\nI don&#8217;t wander much into the local hip-hop scene, sadly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei38.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe ethereal <b>Ali Aiman<\/b>. He covered Najwa&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei40.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8230;who performed right after. Probably the only cover of another artiste also playing the same evening. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei43.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Najwa<\/b> did a cover of <i>Mia Palencia &#8211; Sayang<\/i>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei44.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8230;who Fook also plays for.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/msei42.jpg\"><br \/>\nSo there&#8217;s guitar, bass, and keyboard.
