An upcoming place for live performances.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz2.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Ziel<\/b>!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz3.jpg\"><br \/>\nI tried to capture the flare and ghosting, inspired by <a href=\"http:\/\/ahmadsaiful.fotopages.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Ahmad Saiful<\/a>&#8216;s Olympus E500 flare-ful shots. Open wide, F1.4!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz4.jpg\"><br \/>\nI don&#8217;t usually like to capture performers looking at me as if I was doing street photography, but some people think it works, so I offer this version.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz5.jpg\"><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dragonred.com\" target=\"_BLANK\">Dragon Red<\/a>! With a twist&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz6.jpg\"><br \/>\nSlyde was missing, and <b>Adam<\/b> had to rap&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz7.jpg\"><br \/>\nManshaan was still on drums for one of the most explosive acts in the scene.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz8.jpg\"><br \/>\nFiller bassist!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz9.jpg\"><br \/>\nNo turntablist either. Everybody was busy. But it made for an interesting set, including covers of <b>The Cure &#8211; Love Song<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz10.jpg\"><br \/>\nSurprise, <b>Amil<\/b> raps and sings!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz11.jpg\"><br \/>\nGuest screamer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz12.jpg\"><br \/>\nAnother surprise &#8211; Adam plays bass (and looks like a cross between Melina of Tempered Mental and Aru of Koffin Kanser.)<\/p>\n<p>Both Adam and Amil kept time, and didn&#8217;t miss notes or words. Awesome. The Dragon Red Trio looks like it could work.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz13.jpg\"><br \/>\nOpen mike &#8211; Raffique plays more.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz14.jpg\"><br \/>\nRaffique and Aishah.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz15.jpg\"><br \/>\n&#8220;<i>Where is she?<\/i>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz17.jpg\"><br \/>\nAishah and hot drunken chick Diana (who has a deejay sister who tells laaame jokes on stage; anyone who has seen her emcee for Jamasia gigs will know.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz18.jpg\"><br \/>\n<b>Alex Wong<\/b> of <b>Singletrackmind<\/b>, owner of the place (left) singing his English version of <i>Peterpan &#8211; Mungkin Nanti<\/i> with <b>Manbai<\/b>, the soundman.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz19.jpg\"><br \/>\nYes, the guy who sang <i>Ilhamku<\/i>. He&#8217;s hilarious on stage. He also sang a powerful version of <i>Search &#8211; Fantasia Bulan Madu<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d show you videos, but there are a few reasons why I don&#8217;t:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; my video recordings are not steady, especially since I try to shoot pictures with my other hand<br \/>\n&#8211; you can hear my camera clicking away<br \/>\n&#8211; okay, so really, when it&#8217;s a song I want to record, the uh&#8230; <i>enthusiastic crowd<\/i> sings along, spoiling the video.<br \/>\n&#8211; okay, so really, my voice is nearest. Not only do you hear my funky-orange-juice-influenced singing, you get to hear my <b>wrong lyrics<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mdbz16_big.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz16.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><br \/>\nClick on image for larger view. I managed to snap this at 50mm F2.2 ISO100 and 1\/2th of a second. Yes, <b>a half of a second<\/b>! That&#8217;s over 5 stops (and this was standing up without resting on anything, with the funky-orange-juice in effect!) Okay, so pointing up <b>always<\/b> increases stability.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz20_big.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.glaringnotebook.com\/zimages\/mbdz20.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><br \/>\nClick on the image for the <b>original 1.5MB file<\/b>, uncompressed with EXIF data for all to see. The thumbnail is a 100% crop, this time at 50mm F1.4 ISO400 and 1\/2th of a second. I usually don&#8217;t get such sharp pictures at F1.4 (though being at infinity there might be some exceptions.)
