Here she is saying &#8220;no no no no no&#8221; to Melissa (who is fond of that phrase.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks11.jpg\"><br \/>\nFrances with Kelly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks12.jpg\"><br \/>\nNot sure who is taller!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Crinkle Cut covers Sunny\/Just Friends (Sunny)\/If You Want Me To Stay\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EtRA_jfFMT0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nIn previous gigs, they&#8217;d cover <i>Musiq Soulchild &#8211; Sunny (Just Friends)<\/i> and I noticed that the chord progression was very much like <i>Sly &#038; The Family Stone &#8211; If You Want Me To Stay<\/i>. I&#8217;d been bugging them to hear that song and cover it&#8230; and they finally did! So here&#8217;s their medley&#8230; with a twist! It not only included both songs but started with <i>Bobby Hebb &#8211; Sunny<\/i>. I liked how Frances further broke up the rhythm of Sly&#8217;s already broken up funk vocals.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks13.jpg\"><br \/>\nThen came The Maha Jeffery Band&#8217;s second set, with Malcolm now on drums.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks14.jpg\"><br \/>\nMeanwhile, outside, a tug of war was happening.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks15.jpg\"><br \/>\nThese guys are old-school blues rockers!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks17.jpg\"><br \/>\nFast-forward to the 28th of January 2015.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks18.jpg\"><br \/>\nYup, same lineup!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks16.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis is how a sound engineer gets <i>in the mix<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks19.jpg\"><br \/>\nDiggin&#8217; Ashley&#8217;s new hair.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks20.jpg\"><br \/>\nCrinkle Cut takes their themes seriously.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks21.jpg\"><br \/>\nForeground becomes bokeh, seriously.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks22.jpg\"><br \/>\nSound engineers, imbalanced.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks23.jpg\"><br \/>\nI worry about other things, like picking the right white balance for pictures. I shoot RAW so I can deliberate on this, but I usually end up picking an in-between that shows the most color tones e.g. I will dial it so there is an equal amount of blue and orange on the primary subject.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks24.jpg\"><br \/>\nSometimes though, I may keep a bit of warmth or crop more.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks25.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis picture had a fair amount of green versus magenta in the background. What a doppelganger.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks34.jpg\"><br \/>\nSimmy watches intently.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks35.jpg\"><br \/>\nThe Maha Jeffery Band&#8217;s lineup is a bit different today. A few musicians in the audience, had their eyes lit up when the KORG SP-280 appeared!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks36.jpg\"><br \/>\nI&#8217;m liking the &#8220;Protect saturated colors&#8221; slider in DxO Optics Pro; it makes for a consistent color tone even as luminance varies.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks37.jpg\"><br \/>\nSame here.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks38.jpg\"><br \/>\nThis band plays quite a few Jimi Hendrix covers with a few tweaks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks39.jpg\"><br \/>\nI discovered a Sony E-mount lens cap\/ashtray!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks40.jpg\"><br \/>\nGrace Cho (left) and Adrienne.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/glaringnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/ccks41.jpg\"><br \/>\nHow should the poster communicate that two bands play on an Urban Sunset night? Interesting question.
