Sunburst-A!

Finally, shots from Sunburst Music Festival! 15th March 2008. This series features local bands who played in the daytime.

Y2K, masked crusaders of punk rock and catchy punked covers.

Stick ’em up.

Gerhana Ska Cinta.

Ska, what else? Catchy beats.

Najwa the amazing crooner!

Who is joined by a human beatbox. Who is not black. Yo.

I love her soul. No wait, that ain’t right.

Yeah! ERA FM stage!

Featuring a very happy Jimmy…

…playing for Atilia, jazz diva.

Then there was Gigi.

This is where I tell you all that I shot most of this with my Tamron 200-400mm F5.6. My Minolta 70-210mm F4 beercan was with Lex.

Tompi! Kickass versatile voice.

Also featuring Steve Thornton…

…and an ensemble.

Pop Shuvit, heads up! (Yes, that is a head blocking the lower part of the picture.)

Nope, this is not a crop. It’s the full 400mm effect, yo.

And then, it started to rain madly. The crowd ran from one end to the other to catch Love Me Butch! I would’ve if my camera was waterproof.

Hujan, a huge indie band who played not only to appease the crazy crowd that comes with them, but the rain gods. And true enough, it stopped raining.

    noel: Eagerly waiting!

missorangedepp: We’ll see! They’re full-time gigging musicians now.

Ewin: Thanks! Can’t say that it brings out greens like a Minolta does, though…

i know… it’s crazy how things changed within a short 6 months. when i started listening to them , they are still very unknown ; by the time that i left, they have their own fanbase, not huge but the fans are always there at each show. and now… gosh they even went to UK…
